Marine Hotel Vat (Eastbourne)

The Marine Hotel was known as the Marine Tavern in 1890. The Marine Hotel is recorded  at 45 Seaside in 1930, but The Marine as it is now known currently stands at 61 Seaside, probably due to renumbering. Between being known as the Marine Hotel and the Marine, the former hotel was called Martin’s Hotel.

The Marine is now a traditional pub with a large split level bar. It has a conservatory restaurant and a beer garden. It is two minutes’ walk from the sea front.

Blaster Horace Simmons was the landlord in the late 1920’s.
